| Yesterday was a historic day in the Town of Islip! The Islip Town Democratic Committee warmly congratulates our new Town Councilmember Jorge Guadron, who was inaugurated into office yesterday. Councilman Guadron cares deeply about our community and will be a great representative for all of his constituents. We are incredibly proud of him, he has worked long and hard for many years in the community, long before running for office. Yesterday was a day of celebration for Councilman Guardron, his lovely wife Irma, and their beautiful family which they, along with his team, more than earned. As Jorge so graciously mentioned in his inaugural speech, it took many people to make this historic day possible; not just Jorge and his friends, family, campaign team, and our committee, but also the legal team led by Fredrick Brewington and Make the Road that successfully litigated the lawsuit that won councilmanic districts for the Town of Islip. We thank them all for their work and contributions to making this possible. Brentwood, North Bay Shore, and Central Islip now finally have a member of their own representing them on the Town Board for the first time in history. Congratulations Councilman Jorge Guadron! | ¡Ayer fue un día histórico en el Pueblo de Islip! El Comité Democrático del Pueblo de Islip felicita a nuestro nuevo Concejal Jorge Guadron, quien asumió el cargo ayer. El concejal Guadron se preocupa profundamente por nuestra comunidad y será un gran representante para todos sus constituyentes. Estamos increíblemente orgullosos de él, ha trabajado muy duro durante muchos años en nuestra comunidad, mucho antes de postularse para el cargo. Ayer fue un día de celebración para el Concejal Guardrón, su querida esposa Irma y su hermosa familia que ellos, junto con su equipo. Como tan gentilmente mencionó Jorge en su discurso inaugural, muchas personas participaron para hacer posible este día histórico; no solo Jorge y sus amigos, familia, equipo de campaña y nuestro comité, sino también el equipo legal dirigido por Fredrick Brewington y Make the Road que litigó con éxito la demanda que ganó distritos concejales para el Pueblo de Islip.
