Dear Committee Members and Friends,

Our mission in the Islip Town Democratic Committee is not to just elect Democrats, but to work towards bettering our community and the lives of all our neighbors. We believe in advocating for our marginalized communities, who have been not only neglected, but deliberately harmed by the Republicans who have been running the Town of Islip for far too long. 

We as Democrats believe that taking care of and protecting our environment is vital, that healthcare and education is a right, that we should protect our communities equally no matter the racial or economic makeup of the people residing there. It is these values that will lead to not just our success as a party, but also to our success as the third largest township in New York. Diversity is a strength, and one of the many benefits to living in Islip is that it is rich in diversity and culture from around the world. 

To all our dedicated committee members, thank you for all that you do all year round. As elected officials to the Democratic party, you not only make such a difference within our party, but also, more importantly, here at home by bringing the needs of your neighborhood to the attention of elected officials and candidates alike. Your work helps drive legislation and fund community projects and your volunteerism has helped to clean up our neighborhoods, collect warm coats and food for our neighbors in need, as well as toys so no child goes without during the holidays, and so much more. 

On a personal note, I am incredibly proud to be the new Chair of the Islip Town Democratic Committee. It means the world to me that I have been chosen and elected to lead our committee, and together we can accomplish any goal that we set. 

We have so much to be proud of, and so much to look forward to in the future – the best is yet to come.
